Back at it...

Christmas is fast approaching. This was josh's time of year. Light, presents, people. This is gonna be a rough patch.

Philippians 3:12-14 (Good News Translation)

12 I do not claim that I have already succeeded or have already become perfect. I keep striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won me to himself. 13 Of course, my friends, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead. 14 So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the life above.

This was a perfect Josh day. Any day you would want to ride full bore into the wind, engines screaming, was a Josh day. Warm and sunny. That was him.

Stood in his room for a long time. Found his Ipod. I took it to his garden that he had started a few weeks ago and put it on. Never heard a lot of the music- some rap and light punk stuff. Didn't matter. Couldn't do anything- just having all that together made me have a frigging melt down.

Amazing how cold and lonely the Texas sun can feel.
This sucks.
I love you son.

Die yuppie scum.

Tooling home last night and decided to take a less beaten path. This area used to be a lot of ranch land; now it is about as appealing as the starch on a developer's sheets in the morning if you get what I'm saying.

Who the @!% thinks up these development names? Used up all the common ones like "The Meadows" or "Lone Oak"... "The Ridge at Falcon Lake". There is no ridge for 500 miles. You need rocks and mountains for that. Or at least a GD hill. We are living on the bottom of a prehistoric ocean. Salt prairie as far as the eye can see. No f'g lake and no self respecting bird of prey to be seen for miles. I guess it has more appeal than the "McfuckingMansions at the Buzzard's Cesspool"... It would have really made me throw up in my mouth to see a $40,000 bolt on "custom" Hardly pull outta the gates.

Oh yeah, pussies don't ride bikes when it's cold.

Nothing says it better.

This bike gives me a woody. Perfect stance. When I first met my old lady I was going to buy a '68 orange triumph. She talked me out of it but I married her anyway.

WTF. I'm here.

First off, forgiveness from all my Christian friends that might stumble upon this more muddy part of my persona. I could hand out a whole bunch of duality philosophy crap to justify myself. Perhaps I am in the midst of a midlife crisis. Kept one side of me buried down and now it rears it's ugly head once again. Thought I'd settled all that shit but no.

Yes I swear like a truck driver. Yes I know there is all kinds of passages about what I'm supposed to act like. Oh well... my ideal of Jesus and the 12 is that they were kind of like the dudes in high school that hung out in the hall in the Vo-tech wing. Probably smoked pot at lunch. If you don't hang out with the sinners who are you gonna preach to?

So, what is this about? Bikes? Christianity? Goat farming? Dunno. If I'm into it at the moment it will be here.
